Andy Hinds, Information Technology Coordinator
IT Coordinator Andy Hinds was hired in June of 2003 to meet a growing need for improving the technology and procedures for the use of the technology for the Fire District. Andy had been an independent contractor for the District for a couple of years before coming on full-time. Having no prior fire service experience, Andy has been trained to fill in when necessary in the Dispatch office, which happens to be one of the most Technology-oriented areas in the District.
More than just maintaining the PC's and network between the three fire stations and firemen's field pavilion, Andy also developed the North Greece Fire District website into what it is today. He streamlined the Fire Incident reporting software that the District uses and is always finding new ways to improve operations by leveraging technology which is constantly evolving. Andy is also the lead admin on the GIS project which the District began back in 2004.
