We visit our second graders three times a year. For our Fall visit, we teach our 911 Program. Using our 911 Simulator, we teach the children when and how to call 911 using the AIMS Video, “Emergency Service: Hotline to Help”. After that, we have a portable 911 Center where the children can actually practice making 911 calls.

In the Spring, we visit twice. The first time we bring our “Hazard House Jr.” This is a small portable ‘doll house’ that has many hazards located inside from choking and poison hazards to fire and electric hazards. It is an excellent resource that can also be used in conjunction with the NFPA Risk Watch Program. Our second Spring visit is in partnered with the fifth grade Reading Buddies Program.
